Sub-title: and other true tales of madness, love, and the history of the world from the Periodic Table of the Elements.
I read about this book on a local girl's blog. She said it was her all time favorite, and she's a science nerd. I thought it was wonderful. The author goes through the periodic table of the elements and tells stories of how the table itself was discovered, how many of the elements were named and identified and the lives and adventures of the people involved. I found it fascinating and an easy to digest version of my long ago chemistry classes.
If you didn't like science and didn't get chemistry or you love both you'll appreciate this read.
